Yes, most international visitors need a visa. The good news is it's pretty straightforward:

Tourist e-Visa costs $10-80 depending on your nationality

Apply at least 4 days before travel (we recommend 2-3 weeks to be safe)

You'll need a passport valid for 6+ months, recent photo, and return flight booking

Choose "multiple entry" if you want to explore other cities

Print your e-visa - immigration will ask for it at the airport!

Book 3 months in advance for better prices, from 3-6 months in advance the prices fluctuate so best to keep an eye. Fly into Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bangalore. We recommend to arrive 2-3 days early to beat jet lag, do your attire shopping and explore the city before the wedding festivities begin.

Uber (most convenient): 45-90 minutes depending on traffic, costs ₹800-1200

Uber is your friend - you can use it to book taxis or rickshaws/tuktuks. For tuktuks ensure you have cash to pay the driver, regular taxis can be paid by creditcard via the uber app.

Download an eSIM app before you travel: Airalo, Holafly, or Nomad for instant data plans. eSIM plans start around $5-15 for a week with plenty of data for maps, photos, and staying in touch. Local SIM cards are available at the airport or phone shops, but requires paperwork and waiting
